A pompous club with several halls and a VIP-zone; incendiary parties and various theme nights are held here.
Opened in 1965 and since then it has been one of the major clubs shaping San Francisco’s rock scene. It hosts a variety of theme nights, from salsa lessons to dubstep parties. The contingent of the club are locals, trendy ladies, local celebrities, students, and young businessmen in their 20s and 30s.
The club consists of several rooms. In one you can sit near the main bar, sipping a cocktail, enjoying the DJ improvisations, in the other – to chat with friends in a more intimate atmosphere. There is also a separate room for VIPs.
MatrixFillmore is a high-end club for the wealthy regulars of the area. On Fridays and Saturdays it gets the biggest crowds and has the most lively parties. The music in the club is Top 40, hipster-pop, house, progressive dance, electro, dubstep, techno. Unfortunately, you can’t eat in the bar, so you can run to “Balboa Cafe” down the street. To the club we dress stylishly and expensive – designer jeans, cocktail dresses, heels.
